We hope you download this image and give it a try on your Pi! To make it easier to use, we have added two items to the image

1) A basic sip extension, 300, with the password of s0lution4 (use this and your Raspberry Pi’s ip address to connect a softphone, such as XLite immediately)

2) We have set up an outgoing route to our sip servers, so you can actually make a real call once booted without any further configuring. Calls are limited to UK 01 and 02 number range, and are currently restricted to 40 seconds in length.

Freepbx is running at http://your_pi_ipaddress so go have a look and feel free to fiddle away, knowing that if you break anything you can quickly re-image and get going.

Our image was created on an 8gb SD card, with the Debian image expanded to the full size so you will have future space for recordings and voicemail etc. We have also included the tool we used to make the image, the excellent HDD Raw Copy Tool (portable edition, so doesnt need any installation) by HDDGuru. Use this to write the image to your target SD card as the image is in .imgc format.

Luckily, Solution4 have fitted their core customers networks with a powerful, stateful packet filtering appliance, which all but eliminates the need for network monitoring. Our solution, built upon the powerful iptables Linux implementation, is able to deep inspect packets on the Layer 7 OSI level. This goes beyong traditional port blocking by inspecting the actual contents of the ip packet and using heuristics to determine the type of packet.
